A Gastronomic Adventure with Dominique Crenn at Domaine des Étangs

Imagine five enchanting days at the Domaine des Étangs, a five-star gem nestled in the French countryside, where culinary magic and unforgettable experiences unfolded. At the heart of it all was the trailblazing Dominique Crenn, the first woman in the U.S. to achieve three Michelin stars and the genius behind Atelier Crenn in San Francisco. This was no ordinary event—it was a masterpiece of flavor, storytelling, and connection, crafted for a group of travelers brought together by their shared passion for gastronomy, sustainability, and a love of the extraordinary.

A Symphony of Evenings

Each night was an immersive journey, building to a spectacular crescendo. Every detail—decor, music, ambiance, and custom-designed tableware—was orchestrated to perfection, creating evenings that guests will never forget:

Night 1: French Garden Night –.A celebration of classic French elegance, featuring timeless décor and a menu inspired by the country’s culinary heritage.

Night 2: Forest Dinner – A dinner under the stars with no electricity, only the flicker of candles and the symphony of the countryside. Guests were swept away by the simple yet profound magic of dining in harmony with nature.

Night 3: Golden Dreams – A dazzling soirée bathed in gold, complete with shimmering decor, glamorous lighting that had everyone glowing.

Night 4: The Grand Finale – An 18th-century Versailles Masked Ball with authentic, handmade costumes, an orchestra, fireworks, and a level of theatricality that transported everyone to a bygone era.no other, where every guest donned handmade costumes inspired by the 18th century. With an orchestra serenading the night, fireworks painting the sky, and a touch of theatrical flair, it was a fairytale come to life.

Unforgettable Days, Beyond the Plate

Beyond the exquisite dinners, each day featured bespoke experiences that aligned with the event's themes and values. Guests explored behind-the-scenes craftsmanship with private visits to artisan workshops typically closed to the public and enjoyed bucolic outdoor lunches where rustic simplicity met refined luxury. Every element was designed to immerse participants in the timeless charm of the French countryside.

Bringing It All Together

Pulling off an event of this magnitude was no small feat. With Satopia Travel placing their full trust in me, I was honored to oversee this five-day extravaganza. From working hand-in-hand with Chef Crenn’s team to coordinating bespoke experiences, designing theatrical settings, and collaborating with sponsors like Hennessy and Ruinart, this was a labor of love anf team work in every sense.

This event was more than a gathering—it was a masterclass in creating unforgettable moments, blending world-class gastronomy, heartfelt storytelling, and immersive design. A true celebration of the art of living.
