CONCEPT
For a group of three couples, passionate connoisseurs and true lovers of fine wine, the journey was far more than just a trip—it was an extraordinary adventure into the big family of Burgundy and Rhône Valley winemakers. Guided by the Chef Sommelier of one of France's most prestigious gastronomic houses, this experience opened the doors of renowned estates typically closed to the public, offering rare encounters and a glimpse into the emerging gems of tomorrow.
From Paris, the journey began, first heading to Burgundy. Among the unforgettable moments, they visited Domaine Méo-Camuzet in Vosne-Romanée, where Jean-Nicolas Méo personally hosted a private tasting of the most coveted terroirs. From the legendary Echezeaux to the mythical Cros Parantoux and Richebourg, the group savored wines that define Burgundy’s excellence.
Another stop was Domaine Roullot in Meursault, where Jean-Marc Roullot, a true icon of the wine world, guided the group through a tasting of wines still maturing in barrels. This was followed by a surprise sampling of his eaux-de-vie and liqueurs, and a convivial lunch with Jean-Marc that added a personal touch to the experience.
In Chassagne-Montrachet, the group was welcomed by the next generation of Domaine Ramonet. Jean-Claude Ramonet’s daughters shared not only the domaine’s current vintages but also rare, aged wines—bottles that have become nearly impossible to find. For these connoisseurs, it was a glimpse into Burgundy’s past and future, where heritage meets innovation.
Leaving Burgundy behind, the group headed south to the Northern Rhône Valley. In the Condrieu vineyards, Stéphane Montez welcomed them for a rustic “casse-croûte” in the vines, sharing the stories and passion behind his craft. The following day, Stéphane Ogier in Côte-Rôtie hosted an exclusive dinner for the group. They explored barrel tastings of the parcellaire wines before savoring rare, aged vintages in an intimate setting —parcels of history uncorked for their pleasure.
The journey concluded in a private villa in Provence, where they were treated to bespoke experiences and the region’s finest offerings, all curated by a private chef, making this a true celebration of wine, friendship, and discovery.
